Epoxy coatings are comprised of epoxy resin mixed with a reactant, which produces a hard chemical with a solvent-resistant finish. These finishes are typically applied on concrete and steel substrates because of their durability and chemical resistance. Once cured, an epoxy coating hardens and protects the underlying surface from water and acid chemicals. Contractors utilize epoxy coatings for commercial applications such as commercial roofing or industrial applications such as industrial flooring for repair and maintenance. Epoxy coatings can also be applied to garage floors.
