Coatings are applied to metal substrates like steel as a protective layer to deter corrosion and moisture from causing damages. Contractors come upon steel substrates in various methods of application, which include pipelines, roofs, tanks, and even floors that are used for elevators and are often called to repair these substrates. Polyurea and polyurethane are excellent materials to utilize during marine, commercial, and industrial applications on metal substrates because of their durability and waterproof capabilities. Epoxy coatings are also used to line pipes and tanks. Epoxy, polyurea, polyurethane as well as silicone, acrylic, and elastomeric coatings are used to bolster rooflines in commercial projects.
